have you ever seen the rain?

Hallo peoples!
I cannot for the life of me determine who sang this song best. A great oldie! Lol, I even like the one in the GE commercial.

Someone told me long ago
There's a calm before the storm, I know;
It's been comin' for some time.
When it's over, so they say,

It'll rain a sunny day,
I know;
Shinin' down like water.
I want to know, have you ever seen the rain?
I want to know, have you ever seen the rain
Comin' down on a sunny day?

Yesterday, and days before,

Sun is cold and rain is hard,
I know;
Been that way for all my time.

'Til forever, on it goes
Through the circle, fast and slow,
I know;
It can't stop, I wonder.
I want to know, have you ever seen the rain?
I want to know, have you ever seen the rain
Comin' down on a sunny day?

Yeah!
I want to know, have you ever seen the rain?
I want to know, have you
ever seen the rain

Comin' down on a sunny day?

Bonnie Tyler's is too rock and roll for me. I love Rod Stewart's! Also sang by Creedance Clearwater Revival, The Jeevas, John Fogerty and a fast paced version by the Ramones.

Photo showing wrecked house in Hugo, Minnesota, from the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Speaking of rain, we had a terrible storm this weekend. It was pretty scary hearing the tornado warnings, and sirens. The city I lived in was spared, however, only thirty minutes from here the storm was disastrous. In Hugo, a small town of 1000, a child was killed, and hundreds of people injured and lost their homes as the tornado swept through. Poleni.

If you are interested in helping out the Star Tribune has a list of ways one can do this [click here].

What I find very cool is that countries like States have created systems and continue to create systems that minimize impact from stuff like storms and earthquakes. Glad you are well.
